    Default Betty Blue

In the 70's I went to an art house film where the the picture poster caught my eye dragging me in and on the way out I asked if I could have a copy of the poster which I duly received. The film was a typical French film of the era with love making, verbal and physical fights between the lovers and some violence.

Any way the poster has been hanging my house for nearly 40 years and yesterday has been my first none working day for about 4 months so this is the result. Betty the main character was a manic depressive so that is why there are two Betty's and that is not in the poster. Although I worked from the original which is in my office it not traced only copied by eye.

You've captured Béatrice Dalle perfectly. I remember the film very well, horror of horrors, I copied it from the tv onto vhs and I was thinking only recently of converting it to DVD. Remarkable work, especially as it hasn't been hand traced.

Nothing wrong with tracing, even if you had. This is goregous work and you have an obvious talent for drawing. I like the style as well.
