Transparacy GIF error

Hi,

I got the new CD and am having a problem with transparant backgrounds. I want to export some text but since the background on my page is dark, I have a black rectangle behind the text.

When I go to export to a GIF, the area behind the text is not transparent the way it should be.

Is this a bug?

Yes, it is a bug which I believe is to be corrected. For the moment, place your background coloured rectangle on a separate background layer. When you export your actual text the background layer will not go along for the ride.

I have with the XaraX Version 1.0aa and 1.0b the same problem. : It is not possible to export a transparent GIF by setting the correct options. The background appears in preview and final GIF not as transparent.
In the first Version 1.0a this feature did work correctly.

The new transparent background option in XX does'nt seem to work the same as in previous versions.
As a way round this I find that if you put the page background in a different layer and drag this down to the background in the layers gallery this works.
