    Default The Holidays are Coming

I started a community Christmas tree and quite a few people have added ornaments to it. I was hoping to get it filled by the time Christmas rolls around. If anyone missed it and wants to add an ornament or present under the tree, here's the link:

bumping......hoping for a few more decorations

The present here sports the first bow I ever made. I was pretty proud of myself when I did it. I still think it looks good but I'm sure I could improve on it if I tried redoing it. Practice makes perfect, right?

Or perhaps a stocking to hang by a chimney with care?

About 30 years ago I made these stockings from felt for the kids I knew back then.

Lol, love the toes on your 'sock' How did you get the bow to look like velvet or felt? Is it made for real with real felt?

Nancy the bow is a mixture of fractal fills and transparencies. Correction, it is a fractal cloud fill. Must have remembered another project.

Attached is a .xar with a portion of the bow for you to examine.

I rarely use fractal clouds but I like the repeat inverted setting. Very useful for me, thank you for sharing.

Always glad to share techniques. Don't forget to change the fractal resolution and the fractal graininess which are accessible by right clicking the fill with the fill tool.
