Default Xara Xtreme 4 & Wacom Drawing Tablet

Hello to everyone - I am new to the forums.

I recently purchased a new pc running Windows 7 and am now encountering a peciluar problem while using my Wacom drawing tablet - If I leave the pen on the tablet for just a few seconds, a round ring appears and then an option dialog box appears. This is the same result if you would expect if you had right clicked within the drawing space of the application. I did not encounter this using Windows XP.

Does anyone know how I can turn this option off for the drawing tablet?

    Thank you,

    Stephen

1 Click on the Start button (or the Windows orb if you want to use the new name for it)
    2 Type in "pen"
3 Click on "Pen and Input Devices" that shows up
4 There you can see that "Press and hold" is equivalent to a right mouse click.
5 Click on settings to open up a new window where you can disable "Enable press and hold for right-clicking"

I think that should do it. There are other settings there as well if other things are bothering you.

Thanks so much - that is exactly what I was looking for.

A co-worker also suggested that I go out to Wacom and get the latest driver for the Bamboo tablet.

Getting the latest driver is usually a good idea, especially if something isn't working correctly. Although sometimes new drivers can cause other unforeseen problems..
The problem here is that the "Pen and Input devices" is part of windows (since Vista) and therefore new Wacom drivers isn't going to change that behavior.

    Oh, and welcome to TalkGraphics.
