Black Widow and Brown Recluse spiders are very common in this area. I think the Black Widow is one of the most attractive spiders. Their shiny black body and the red 'hour glass' shape is attractive to me.

Unless threatened neither Black Widow or Brown Recluse will bite, being naturally non-aggresive species. Well with the exception of the Female Black Widow to the Male Black Widow.
