Default Xara Xtreme 5 and windows 7

    Sup guys,
WOW it's been a long time since I posted on this site
Anyways, just wondering if Xara xtreme 5 is fully compatable with Windows 7?
My copy of Xtreme 2 doesn't really like Win7 so thought I might as well upgrade for only £45.

    Cheers.
    Mark.

Hi Mark— your question might have been answered earlier and better if it wasn't in the Official Guide forum?

    But, yes it is.

I wrote the entire book under Windows 7 RC1 64x processing, occasionally using Win 7's VM to do screen captures from XP.

    My Best,

    Gary

    Hi Britman,

If you are still using version 2 you will be very pleasantly surprised with Xtreme 5.1's new features.

See the "What's new in Xara..." for a comparison between the versions up to and including version 4. Then see Version 5's features

ohhh a WYSIWYG editor, I was just looking at the wed designer tool. So is the web editor in x5 the same as the stand alone?

Yes it has all the same features. Web Designer has a limited subset of Xtreme 5's drawing features, but both programs share the same web page design abilities.
