Default New here, and a few sits

Hi all, I am new to the site, however a long time user of Xara X and this program sure has made my life alot easier. I use it for my everday day job as a graphics designer and also for website creation. These 4 sites were all done in Xara 5 and one in web designer. Keep up the good work Xara and cannot wait to see what is in the next release.

The marine website is about 70 pages and about Max for Xara as far as web design, simply because of save and upload times. anything more than that gets a bit diffucult to navigate in Xara. I would be nice to be able to split up into seperate files.

    Welcome to the forums Alan,

Some decent work there with the sites, though the photography site is not Xtreme 5 or Web Designer output at all. How did you create this one?

Hi Sledger, thanks for the welcome, I'm sorry, That site was mocked up in Xtreme 4.01 and the page graphics were sliced and inserted via MS Expression into tables i had set up for the gallery of which is PHP, that was the best way i found at that time to make it work, however is was a nice entry into X5 and it's web abilities and i gotta say i am impressed with the clean code it produces.

The wine club site was done in X5 and returning to MS Expression to do the gallery for the ability to expand it with a repeating BG, i don't think that would be possible with X5. I know you could probably insert the PHP code via a placeholder, but I'm know of no possible way of having a repeating BG.

I am in the process of re-doing the photography site in X5

    Alan
