Default Flash player / convert to avi files beta

    Hi all,

I have written a utility to play swf flash files standalone (so no need to embed into browser page) and also allows conversion to avi video.

Here is the link if anyone wants it

    http://www.flashtoavi.net/downloads/flashplayer.exe

save to a folder of your choice. to associate swf files with this app, right click an swf file, select open with > choose program then browse for this app. (check always use selected)

its free and I have posted it here first.

    Feedback very welcome

    Hi,

Thanks for posting your news at TG first

However, can you explain the advantages of your application over playing directly in a browser window (not embedded) or other well known freeware apps which can play and convert SWF to AVI?

A couple of advantages it has over opening it in a browser Steve are that it opens at the correct creation size as well as having pause/play controls.

Very useful, I've set it as my default player. Thanks for sharing sculptex.

yes egg, those are the advantages.

not much more features I can think of to include in this free version, I am working on an enhanced version with lots of bells and whistles that I will be charging for, details to follow.

its closely related to xara as I don't even have flash, I use xxp to create all my flash stuff.
