resize vector graphics

Hello,
I have a vector picture (ai) and I want to resize it to 1024x100 , how I do that with xara xtreme without loss of quality

original size 680x300

With Web Designer, you can export it in SVG only for no loss of quality.

Otherwise, what is the final destination for your file ?

I need to make it a floating transparent banner for a web page so gif is ok for me

how I can do ? I tried to resize it as a picture with the photo tool but it did not work, I have the original ai , but I am new to xara and I dont know how I can quickly resize it to 1024x100 - the original size is 680x300

Once the image is in Xara, you select the selection tool.

In the menu bar above you can change the dimension of the graphic. You choose to keep the same ratio or not.

Did you select your graphic with the select tool in clicking above ?

1. Activate selector tool (F2).
2. Drag frame to select all the graphics you want to resize.
3. Unlock aspect ratio.
4. Enter width and height.
5. Press Enter on keyboard.

thanks for all replies , I tried that but the result image appear stretched
is there a way to avoid that ?

do I have to select each in the vector file and resize alone ? there are hundreds of objects in this vector file

- by the way how I can set xara to always use pixels for units ?

Isaac vectors resize easily but what you are attempting is to change the aspect ratio of the vector drawing. This will indeed make the vectors distort to fit the new ratio.

In that case do this:

1. Activate selector tool (F2).
2. Drag frame to select all the graphics you want to resize.
3. LOCK aspect ratio.
4. Enter width and height.
5. Press Enter on keyboard.

Yes, open a new drawing window, Utilities / Options / Units / Select Page Units to Pixels from the dropdown menu.

File / Save Template / Either use current template name or supply a new one

Tick Set as Default Template if desired.

Save.

It's not just pixel dimensions that can be set this way but font, line/fill width/colour etc etc.
