Great stereogram. Creating the depth fields must have taken a long time.

Most of my 3D applications will make a depth field image in seconds. I started Gary's stereogram tutorial twice but never finished (I get confused part way through). Makes me wonder if I could start with a rendered depth mask from Vue or Bryce or Carrara and see if I can go from there.
