    Default Request or bug's report

To me they are bugs, if not please take them as a request.

1°-If you clipview two or more shapes and then apply a shadow you can't remove the clipview until you remove the shadow first.

2°- If you press f4 to select shape editor tool and then press Z to call the zoom tool nothing happends, you have to press V to call the selector tool and then Z.

Not sure about [1] being a bug. If you hold ctrl and click in the keyhole, I can move the object/s in the clipview when there's a shadow applied.

[2] does seem like a bug, but then I never use 'V', always use ctrl+mousewheel, so haven't noticed that.

    Steve,
The steps to reproduce the first point:

    Create 2 shapes
    Clip them
Apply a wall shadow to the clip
Select the clip and press alt+q to remove clip view, nothing happends.

    I see these two issues...

as far as the first one goes - the same applies if you apply a bevel I think, alt Q no longer works unless you remove the bevel first

so I think this is more a case of locking the clipview in place by applying a secondary effect, rather than bug?

second one - agree you cannot seem to go straight to z from f4....

I think that point one is not consistent with another behaviour, for instance if you group two shapes and then apply a shadow to the group, when you ungroup the shadow disappears, with clipview is totally different, I'm not sure but in xtreme 4 as far as I remember it was different.

The reason you can't call the Zoom tool directly from the Shape Editor is that the Z shortcut is assigned to a function within the Shape Editor. It changes the node type for a selected node to cusp.

(BTW, it looks like the definition in the Shortcut Utility is not correct.)

You press Alt Z to go directly to Zoom from the Shape Editor.

Thumbs up Re: Request or bug's report

You are right, I'll clear z in the settings to get the correct behaviour.
May be default should be in the other way around, that is to say, alt +z to cusp, etc and z just zoom to avoid changes in shortcuts.
    Thank you very much.

can't remember how the clipvew behaved in xtreme 4

not sure I would expect grouping and clipview [which is a form [clip]masking] to behave the same in this respect

for what it's worth - if you group two clipviews and apply shadow and then ungroup, the [group] shadow disappears....

good point about the z in shape editor tool - thanks

Then you'd have to change the S shortcut for Smooth nodes, as well. These changes would probably not be welcomed bu those of us who routinely use the Z and S shortcuts as we work in the Shape Editor (such as me).

OTOH, if doubleclicking to change the node type were stressed in training and help rather than the Z and S shortcuts, then it might be less of an issue.
