I searched the forum and found several posts - most about length.
What would be the best width to use for a web page?
Would just landscape rather than portrait be the way to go or set the width at ?
Tks - jb

Hi Jeb,
I design my sites with 800 x 600 screens in mind. VERY few people online these days use lower res screens and the ones that use higher res can still see the entire site.
Part of the reason for my decision is that it's the size screen I use.
There is no "landscape" & "portrait" option. Simply a width you decide on and then the length you're comfortable with.
Hope that makes some sense.

Tks, Dog -
Using letter size as a page size option give you the ability to use landscape or portrait sizes but I used custom and 800 pts wide and various heights to fit content on.
Again, tks. - jb
If you're using XX5 there's an option for 760pix web page SVGA under the NEW section in FILE
But the custom solution works just as well.

We use 900+ pixels (955 seems to be a standard). Most users these days have switched to higher resolution screens. The old 760 width may look too small and antiquated for most clients.
Here is a good info source:

955 seems to work well - tks to all. - jb
