    Default Graphic link problem

I have a website designed in Web Designer that is being hosted locally for the desktops in a public access area. The links are to other pages on the site, and to outside web pages.

The links are graphic, and have a transparent background.

The problem is that the transparency is not part of the link. If the link is text, ONLY the text is clickable instead of the shape that is the illustration.

How do I get the transparent part of the graphic to be clickable?

The transparent area of your links are clickable.

Perhaps you could clarify 'which' links are not working the way you need them too?

When I pull up that page off the server at work, that link you show is only clickable where graphic shows, not in the transparent area. Look on the Local Employers page, ALL of those work that way.

Don't know why it did not do the same to you.

Tested in all latest version browsers after exporting, all working fine in the transparent areas.
What is the browser you are testing this with?
I do notice some random rectangles on some pages which seem unnecessary.

Browser is IE 6. I work for the state, and the computers cannot be upgraded. Is that the problem?

EDIT: I think I have answered my own question. I tried in IE8 and Firefox and everything worked fine. It must be IE6.

    Anyone know of a workaround?

Possibly, I don't have IE6 anywhere now to test however XWD and XX5 'preview' uses a subset of the IE6 rendering engine internally. Your site works fine in that for me too - does it not work in preview for you too?

I see you edited your post while I was positing.

Yes the answer would be to update those state computers.
