Default Wonderful view froma chair in St.Cyrus

Sitting on a chair at the cliffs of St.Cyrus, what a great view to have before you.

    Oh, that is lovely.

We used to have a farm field behind our house and we could see the sun set on the horizon (as it faced west). The glorious colors in the sky could take your breath away on a clear day. Brian and I would sit outside with the dog and a libation and just watch the sun go down and talk about the day. We were blessed with this for 15 years.

Now the dog is gone and there are 2-3 story houses behind blocking our view....so sad that our area is building up so fast and places to go see the sun go down are 10s of miles away now.

    Thank you Burpee and John!

Sorry to hear about the dog and loss of your view.

There is a house nearby the location I shot the above photo that has the pictured view and I had imagined, being right on the cliffs, that it would have that view for a very long time. Sadly, with all the recent heavy rain and landslides, the house is at risk with part of the concrete foot path in front of the house hanging mid air over a badly eroded cliff face.

I felt uneasy just looking at it!

Wow, that is a sad loss. That house will slide into the ocean if they can't shore it up. I imagine many people living in low-lying flood areas will see the oceans rise as the Earth's temperature heat up as well.
