how can i edit text in psd file?

hi. i come to this forum for help. i am desining a website for which i have downloaded free horror html template. this is the template file

i want to edit HORRORMOVIE.CA text in that banner. i am new to photoshop. how can i do it?

Welcome to TG Forums,

It's not editable text. You will need to remove that layer, create a new layer with the text and fx you want and position it accordingly.

ok thanks,
but how can i remove that particular layer only and any idea about the fonts? are they available in photoshop?

Photoshop can use any fonts which you currently have installed.
Additionally, there are many sites on the web offering free fonts available for download.
For example.
Once these are installed to your Windows system (if you are using Windows), they too are available for use within Photoshop.

The closest font I could find is HarvestItal Regular (try googling for it). I narrowed the tracking to get a closer resemblance.

hey,thanks. i have erase the name with background suited red color and wrote given font and its looking great.

I used it to find an abstract font that someone used on a logo for a friend of mine when I needed to create another logo for him. The original designer had moved on. So may want to add to your toolkit for future endeavors.
