I don't know if I missed it in the manual (Ext Pro) or what but I can't find how to link a button to open a pdf file.
Appreciate any help,
Pat

Hi Pat,
What is (Ext Pro)? There is no leading 'E' in Xtreme.
Creating a button link to a pdf file is the same as creating a button link to a web page. Simply use the URL with complete path to the pdf file.
If the person clicking the link does not have a pdf plug-in for their browser they will be given a download prompt, if they do have a pdf plug-in the pdf file will open in a new browser window.
You as the host site have no control as to download or open in new window, unless you put the pdf inside a compressed file like zip or rar which must be downloaded by any browser. Of course your visitor has zip and/or file blocked.
The visitor has more control over their browser and what they view and download than any web host.

Thanks Soquili,
Complete path you mean the file folder location (same as the web files I've created and uploaded, or the web address to the file.
Ext Pro! forgot that there is no e. Xtr-Pro.
Thanks again for your help
If your site is http://mysite.com and you have the pdf file in a sub folder name greatfiles. Your path to the pdf would be http://mysite.com/greatfiles/mypdf.pdf
