    Exclamation Web Designer Page Height

I have a very long squeeze page that I'm designing in Web Designer. I am trying to make it longer to fit all my text; however, it gives me the error:

"The page height you entered was invalid. It must be a positive, non-zero measurement, maximum for page and margins is about 9 ft. (2.75M), minimum about 0.5inch (1.3cm)."

Is there any way to get around this? I've spent about 3 hours working on this - I would hate to think i just spent all this time and now I can't go any further. Please help!!

    Thank you,
    BA

What size are you trying to make it? Can you attach the .web file?

I'm not sure what the file size will need to be... here is the .web file. If you drag it to make it longer, it comes up with that error.

Unfortunately, it appears to have exceeded the maximum length. If you shorten the page it works OK, up until 92 inches when the error starts. Why so long a page? Look in File>Page Options>Paper Size. (Convert the units of measurement from pixels to inches.)

It's not my choice to have it so long - just doing it for someone else!

I am thoroughly bummed that I spent all that time and now I can't go any further. Grrrrrr

Thank you for your help, though!

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

    Thanks!

    Welcome to TG bout90feet,

    What is a 'squeeze' page?

Anyway, yes I'm afraid there is a limit to page sizes in Web Designer and Xara Xtreme. Nine feet (or greater) is extraordinarily long for a web page, in fact it is no longer a page at all
Loading the content in a browser from a single page that large might present problems.

This is a bit like saying you can't put the Bible on one page. Why would you want to?

Sometimes it becomes necessary to explain to a friend or client that what they ask for isn't recommended or is impossible.
