Thanks Burpee and Gray. I really thought about this one. And the G had to express that you netter yourself through time, you start in the middle you progress up. And ofcourse like a handle progressing in time clockwise.
The C and C I wanted to incorperate in the G. one negative other positive.
Now I have to work on making them more colorfull and more 3 d

And Gray, your clouds are really amazing, your planes too by the way.
And I have seen plenty of cloudskapes here in paintings when I was younger
by old dutch painters, and yours can hold up to them.
be aware, not to become a ware.

Graham that's fantastic. I was thinking you were using a photograph for the clouds until I looked at your sidebar.

Thanks Gary, lupen for your kind words. I draw in vector and paint all the sky and landscapes I use in the plane illustrations now.

    Hello folks,

This is a poster I created for my father using Xara Xtreme. I had it mounted for him in a custom made black metal frame and it looks really sweet. I'm new to the forum but have been experimenting with Xara for a little while. I never cease to be amazed by this program and I am still discovering all that it is capable of. I like it so much I have all but abandoned my other graphics programs.

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and express my excitement of becoming a part of your Xara community. I have already learned many new things in the few posts I have read here.

PS. Dad introduced me to Xara and is an avid Xtreme user also.

A hearty TG welcome to you, buckobeck. You've jumped right in and made a big splash with your first post. Bang-up job! I'd say that needs to be posted in the Xara Art Gallery proper and not just the 'Stop & Post' category.

You also need to persuade your dad to drop by TG and join in. The more the merrier.

Just out of curiosity, what size did you make the dragonfly poster?

I look forward to seeing more of your works,
    Harry

    Hello HayTay,

Would have answered sooner but I had to take the puppy out for a bathroom break. I created it in Xara at 40 x 22.04 inches which made it easy to capture all the small details of the dragonfly, I settled on 20 x 11.02 inches for the print.

I must admit that I was worried that a print wouldn't look as good as it did on the computer (this was my first with Xara), but I couldn't have been more wrong.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Mark

Your welcome for the welcome, Mark. Thanks for the poster info. I, just recently, printed my first poster from XXP at 22" W x 17" H. I must say, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Once I get it finished I've got to post a picture of the framed print for gray ('twas his suggestion), and everyone else, to check out. You'll eventually be able to see it in my URBAN D-K thread.

    Xtreme Poster Print Fun,
    Harry

Most excellent dragonfly poster you created for your father. Wonderful details. Glad to have you here.
