    Hello Bobby,

What graphics software are you using?

Where will the avatar be used?

Generally using a graphics file that supports transparency is all you need. The gif and png file formats support transparency.

    Bobby,

    Welcome to TalkGraphics!

You can recreate the whole avatar quickly and easily in a variety of graphic applications. I'm partial to Xara Xtreme and recreated just the graphic without the background in a few minutes. With a bit of practice and drive I'm sure you can too. Why not give it a try with the FREE 30-day trial version of Xara Xtreme 5. There is also a PROMO for Xara Xtreme 2 for only $19 US which is good until November 6, 2009. That's what I did and I'm now hooked on 'Xtreme' graphics.

    Good luck to you,
    Harry
