Help!! Xara freezes!!

When I work with XaraX Pro5, it constantly freezes. It happens every time I do something. It happens when I drag, scale, skew, rotate, draw, zoom, everything. If I want to minimize Xara, I have to click twice on the bar and when I maximize it, it takes about 5 seconds to get to see the drawing.
Sometimes it helpes when I restart my computer but not every time. I work with Windows Vista Home Premium.
This isn't workable anymore, can somebody please help me out!!

Does you computer have a multicore processor?

Some people have reported the 'freezing' behaviour on dual and quad core processors.

Yes, I have a dual core processor. Can I do anything to fix this?

Any chance this will be fixed in Xara in the near future? It seems a pity not able to use the full capabilities of your computer.

Never had that on my dual-core. But did the registry fix help you or not?

Yes it did work.
When I started to work with Xara Xtreme Pro5, it worked fine. When it started to freeze, it sometimes helped if I restarted my computer. It seemed that it progressed over time.

Jolande, have you tried uninstall/reinstalling XX? This often works with these annoying bugs and only takes a few minutes.

I will reinstall Xara and see if that works, otherwise the registertweak is a good alternative.
I'll let you know if it worked.

After reïnstalling the problem was still there. I'm currently back on version 4 and I will tweak version 5 again.
