    Default Trains!

Earlier this year, I spent some time around Caledonian Railway - a functioning train museum that runs between Brechin and Bridge of Dun near Montrose, Scotland. It was a nostalgic run in an old diesel train...

Great shots Graeme. I like the luminescence of the greens.

Takes me back to my early teens when I worked for British Rail in Kent.

    Thanks Sledger.

I missed out on trains as the local railway line was closed in the Beeching closures. All that remains are a few bridges. It would have made a very scenic run when it was open.

Very good exposure and nicely framed Graeme.
Not many viaducts in Australia and here in Far North Qld, not many trains!

Great photos Graeme. The colours are sharp and clean through out the images.

    Thanks Sledger and Soquili!

I have visited that viaduct many times as it's a great little beauty spot - even in winter if the sky is right. I think I've photographed it to death!

Again - great photos - I'm feeling very inadequate right now..

The Montrose Viaduct (the portrait shot) is especially pleasing.

Thank you Sledger and Rupert. I think I'm rather fortunate in that there is nice scenery around me and much of it is readily accessable. Unlike an artist, I rely on the good will of nature to fill my canvas!

I am sure I could make the same scenes look typical British (ie. grey).

You could have painted those colours, nice work.
