    Default Having Trouble Publishing Updates

I was able to publish a bare-bones version of my site about a month ago. Now, after tweaking things to my liking, I'm finding that the changes aren't taking effect when I publish. I click on "Publish to FTP Site" button, the process completes with no error messages, but the changes aren't going through. I waited 10 hours before trying it again and got nothing. Is that generally enough time? (I'm using Go Daddy if that matters.) I seem to remember it only taking a brief amount of time before, but it's been over a day now since the first attempt.

Not sure if this is part of the problem: when I started working on the site, the files were being saved to my desktop. Before publishing, I moved them to their own folder. Could that be causing the problem?

    Hi BBS,

Did you use the File menu Export website to the new folder before publishing?

Hi BBS, Updating is instantaneous. Did you refresh your browser to view the changes?

I did export the site, and nothing changed. So I tried removing the files from the directory, then exporting again and it worked. I now have a new dilemma though; when I type in the domain name the main page is really screwed up. I think the best way is to just show you guys.

Any ideas on what I'm messing up? Thanks for the advice!

Both pages look fine and are identical here BBS. (/index.htm and /home.htm)
Try another browser (one that you haven't used to visit your site yet) and see for yourself.

Looks like you need to empty your browser cache and refresh.

Clearing the cache did the trick. Thanks so much everyone!
