Have you ever considered publishing a 'coffee table' type book of your local pictures? Not a touristy thing, but the local tourist board might well be interested in sponsoring it in some way. I'd buy it!

John, that might be an idea

My only current venue for my works is Google Earth, Flickr and one on a local calendar. It would be great to have a little story beside each one, but my literary talents and knowledge of local history are sadly lacking!

That's where the local history society would come in. As long as you don't let them turn it into a poorly produced effort with more text than images and available only in libraries or on-line. I really think your images - straight and doctored - deserve a good, solid book to themselves.

John, I'm really flattered that you think the images are bookworthy!

I had intended printing and framing many of them but due to my storage environment, I lost most of my frames to corrosion of the gold effect lining on the frame

Prints themselves are very difficult to store so I ended up not printing any unless I had frames to put them in. Apallingly, I have a rather large format roll printer not doing anything!

It's hard to describe the feeling you get when when you frame your first picture...
