Trial version Bug?

I'm trialling 5 and for some reason with no drawing open I clicked the text button 'T' and it crashed
'Access violation exception at 00x0064EB68'

This is repeatable.
Is this a known bug?
Do they have bug reporting option?

I have moved your thread to the forum.

I am unable to repeat what you have described.
Could you please state the version including build number please?
(example: Xara Xtreme 5.1.0.9131 DL Jun 23 2009)

Mine is same as yours.
It does have DL (Xara) Jun 23 - but that may be nitpicking?

Hi Richard,

I would say it may be due to some dll file or files that have not registered during installation.

Try uninstalling. Reboot. Disconnect from the internet and disable your antivirus, antispyware, antiadware, etc. Reinstall Xtreme. Reboot. Re-enable your security software (antivirus, etc.).

Some antivirus (and other security software) can prevent programs from registering correctly during installation.

yes suspected something like that.
I'll do that when I get the CD version.
I've decided to get the upgrade.
I haven't seen any other issues so will live with that until it arrives (just won't press buttons when no drawing open).
