"Hi"

    Just joined this new version of the forum (the old had some technical problems, if I recall, but this one works just fine, it seems!), and am looking forward to interacting with other PhotoImpact users here.

    PI is a great program, and, so much can be done with it, that it has become one of the most valuable tools in my software toolbox, as I have been using it for over 4 years now (maybe one day, I will get it right!!!!).

    Well, here's to lots of good interaction here, in the future!

    It might be a good idea to post at least one piece of work done with PI, so here is one of mine, just to start the ball rolling (all done with PI, of course).

    You did that all in PI?
    How long did it take?
    It has a nice 3D look.

    Buddy;

    Yep, 100% in PI5; took about 4 hours, however, much of that was attributed to the creative/design (trial and error) process.

    I now have PI6, of course, and I can see with the new spline tool, and the better eraser tool (you can now erase portions of objects, instead of having to merge it with the background first... VERY cool), the gap between PhotoShop WITH plug-ins and PI WITHOUT plug-ins is closing fast.

    Hey wkj;

    Thanks for the nice comment.

    I wish others would post their work here, though.

    Come on everyone... lets see some PI stuff.

    Hi ... PI6 is great. I was using PI5 up to recently and did these images totally with that.

    PhotoImpact is powerful and as importantly , well designed for quick and easy use (ie, the attribute bar instead of dumb floating palettes all over the place and the good use of right-click pop up menu commands)

    D. King..

    Thanks for sharing. Its great to see others who use PI showing what they can do with it. It is quite a powerful tool.

    I am looking forward to seeing more work from other users here, also. The more, the merrier, as far as I am concerned.

    Take care, and keep on imaging.
