    Hi Chris,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

Using Xara3D you will need a vector graphics of the USMC emblem to import into the program. You can then use your image as a texture for the shape.

You can find vector formats and bitmap formats of the complete USMC Seal at http://www.defenselink.mil/multimedia/web_graphics/.

Using a vector editor like Xara Xtreme you should be able to use the WMF file to get the emblem without the extra parts of the seal.

Looks like you've nailed it. It can become addictive, be careful.

Does this have to be a bitmap? I already have a png render? Is there any direction how to do this with a png instead? God my head is hurting..

    Hey Cpt Chris USMC,

44? Heck, you're a young pup.....at 59 I might be able to make that complaint but you can't, not yet.

I'm able to learn tons from these folks and as long as I'm willing to learn, they are most willing to help and they have.

The spinning logo thing isn't really that hard, it's just a matter of persevering with the tutorial. I also had some great help from the author of the tutorial when I got stuck on some small item.

If you make the attempt to get the spinning logo working and get stuck, someone will be willing to help. Besides, it is a lot of fun creating these things....and as someone said, very addictive, not to mention rewarding.
    Ed......:-)
