    Default Div with Iframe behavior

Is there a way to set an area using <div></div> tags to replace frames/iframes and
this area should behave like frames with the ability to link pages into it.

below is what was included in an example from John,
i would like to know how i can make this behave like an iframe, specifically naming it, so i can open page links into it.

    <div style="width:100%;height:100%; overflow:scroll; position:absolute; left:0px; top:0px;">

    Greetings,
I am trying to have BING crawl my fan site,
however iframes blocks the content from Bing's crawlers

So the need for some help on a DIV that can work just like the frames you have on popup 1 to 4, only.

    Thank you

Why not post a sitemap to Google containing the pages your'e linking to via the iframes? I suppose Bing's got the same facility.

Doesn't Bing let you use sitemaps then?

    yep

it does, however it needs to crawl the pages or it will not show up, (something like that).

Bing is Microsofts renamed Live Search (MSN Search) search engine. The <iframe was also introduced by MS Internet Explorer in 1997.
Strange that Bing should object to the <iframe tag

However, even Google won't crawl iframes if the scr is a remote URL. This might be the same for Bing I should think?

scratching my head, my iframe is local

I have decided to make the index page without any frames,
and on that page i will link to the iframed page that is currently the index page,
this will allow at least the index page to be crawled by all bots.

(the new index page will be content riddled with info from the iframe page and more!
making the iframed page less cluttered! phew! a cup of coffee really stimulates the brain!)

    But...
What i still want to know is how to make the iframe invisible to those crawlers!

Glad you know what you're doing mljk ;-)

Seems to be complicating things far more than's really required to me.
