    Default Navigation button inconsistency

I have created nav buttons which I have copied from page to page. on http://trewgates.com/Xara/ the 'Call me back' button (left side of page) does not work but the three below it do. On http://trewgates.com/Xara/gates_and_latches.html it is the 'Quotation request' button that does not work (or mouseover correctly).

The buttons themselves were made by copy/paste and edit and I can see nothing in the page source code that explains the behaviour. I have not had the 'Auto Correct' checked although I do not understand exactly what that does.

I cannot complete the site until I get these 'template' pages working correctly.

(I corrected the spelling in your thread title - gwp)

They look to be images rather than text with links.

    Post your *.web file please

Yes, I changed them from text links to images to try to get round the same problem. I did not just paste the text into the buttons but re-typed it from scratch.

That's strange, it works perfectly fine here when I preview your site. There are numerous javascript errors, but I've not bothered to check out why - however the 'Call me back, please' links work fine here.
Perhaps you might try deleting all of your uploaded files (on the host) and re FTP the site?

Also, is this the site that exports as index.htm rather than index.html ?

    It exports as index.html here

This now continues a related discussion from thread:

Before publishing, try to do "Export website". In the export dialog explicitly enter the page name with extension you want (i.e. "index.html"). All following publish operations should use this name and extension.

OK, I did that, having deleted all the .htm files before I did it, then published and the problems persist.

Yes, it's the same site that exports index.htm instead of index.html

I deleted all the XWD uploaded files from the site and re-published and both problems persist.

Have you used sticky footer tweak? All the footer layers are static layers and they should be placed under the MouseOver layer.
Move MouseOver layer on top of all others.

I use Dynamic Page tweak for CMS content. I moved the MouseOver layer to the top of the list (is this what you meant) and both problems persist.

What I have found is when you export over an existing site, select the existing index.html file for the file name.

You will be asked if you want to replace this file.

    Say yes.

Then a new file will not be created and all of your file extensions will remain the same as they were.
