xara 3d object and overlay mode

hello... i am a beginner and trying to learn using xara 3d.

is xara 3d suitable to create animated text as an overlay ?

i tried to follow instructions to create a spinning logo with transparent background but whenever i export it either to a video or simple frontpage that transparent background actually is a "white background".

is there actually a real "transparent background" mode with one click?

please help.....

Hi Media Girl,

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

Some file formats do not support transparency. Exporting from Xara3D6 the .gif and .swf (flash) file types do support transparency.

If you are trying to use the .avi file format, you will need to find out what your video editor supports for making transparent.

Green and/or Blue are often used with video editors as the basic colour to be removed during editing. You may find it under Chroma Key in the help for your editor.
