    Default Paddle Steamer

This was taken at Echuca on the Murray River (which is slowly drying up because of the drought-you will note that there is not much depth in the flow). They were used in the early days to cart produce up and down the rivers of Australia.

'PEVENSEY', that brings back memories. It's the name of the place my parents would drag us 4 kids to each year for a week of boredom in a caravan on a pebble beach.

Good shot Rupert, it's as dry as here too. Quite normal for August/September though.

    Very nice photo Rupert.

Drought seems to be hitting many areas within recent years. Locally we were in drought conditions in 2007 and 2008. More rain this year so no water rationing fortunately.

Excellent shot of the boat and river. This is our first year without a water ration in many years. It's raining as we speak. We must be getting your water.
