Question Changing the overall size of a completed website??

    Hello again,

I have a couple of completed websites and am wondering if i can increase the overall size of the website in one simple step?

    i.e if i wanted to change the overall resolution from say 800 x 640 to 1000 x 700...without having to re-size and re-position everything?

Is it possible in Extreme Pro 5 which i now have?

    Many thanks as always

    kind regards

    Nick

Question Re: Changing the overall size of a completed website??

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for that but that command only makes each page the same size within the website.

What i need to do is change the whole website resolution i.e.

    from 800 x 600 to something bigger say 1000 x 700.

I can change the website page size but the items on the page do not re-size along with it. Obviously i can re-size everything individually, but that is gunna take an eternity ??????

    Any ideas

    Thanks

    Nick

Go to file/page options/page size and change to custom width like 1024
Make sure everything in the layer gallery is checked.
You should pull down the page length and adjust later.
Draw a rectangle around the webpage with the selector tool.
With the lock aspect ratio on increase webpage size to 1024.
    Move page to position xy=0
You will have to change the text size to whole number fonts
    Preview and everything should work!

    Hi Aridzone,
You wonder why this Questioner never returned to thank you? He must have given up. Just want to know where to find this lock aspect ratio? Has xy=0 also to do with lock aspect ratio?
    TIA

It's on the toolbar - the small lock symbol next to the width and height.

Has xy=0 also to do with lock aspect ratio?
No, just where the content sits on the page.

Thank you Paul for your help. Just found out that a template from WD6 opens full width when it is uploaded on the remote website whereas WD5 did not.

This sounds helpful but what do you mean by this, how is it done?

Page background, or Pasteboard background, which of these should be resized to re center the mouse over and mouse off layer content?

I have also wondered how to recenter all the content on a page after the Page size has been changed. (since the page does not resize from the center)
and you don't want to group buttons and links.

This works just fine in extreme 5 and now in Designer Pro 6.

Thank you once again for all the help
