Just testing plugins to see if they work from XXP. These two are Art Works.

I've just tried Sketch 9 trial as a plug-in. I get the image back into Xara following processing but any further adjustment (e.g scaling) crashes) Xara. I am using the latest version of Xara Xtreme Pro.

Any advice welcome as I have not used plug-ins before but sketch offers features I would be interested. Do I have to go for the stand alone version?

I set my system to lock the effect by default when something returns from a plugin.

I had a problem making a bitmap copy because the plugin wanted to run again before I could make a copy. You can just click on the lock icon, too.

I tried this in XX5 and didn't have a problem.

An Iris with trying the edge parameter. A new addition.

Another thing ... I don't try to edit the effect, but delete the effect and restart again. Some plugins are fine to edit, but I wouldn't do it with Sketch.

You can use an image editor from Xara, and use that as a host. It may work better.

I tried unlocking in XXP5, and the plugin wanted to render again. It locked to application.

Tried unlocking in XXP3 with the same results as in XXP5.

I did notice a STOP button that interupts the render. Actually, something I always wanted.

I didn't see with the other plugins.

I did write to tech support.

Many thanks for all your advice. Locking seems to have done the trick.

    Your help is much appreciated.
