The "NEW" button in Object Gallery

What does it do? It does nothing on my setup.

Click on the page or the layer first and it will give you a new page or new layer

Nope, not for me. No matter what I do before I click on the NEW button, it does nothing

Hi KBI,

When things don't seem to work and you've checked the help file to confirm proper procedures, the best thing to do is to uninstall Xtreme, reboot your PC and then reinstall the application.

If it's still not working, report back here but always lodge a support ticket with Xara. They may take a little time to answer (there many more members of TG than there are staff at Xara

but they may have some advice or trick for you that TG doesn't.

no, I don't think i can do that - too much to lose and not sure enough of myself to get everything back the way i like it

as long as I can still right-click on "page" or "layer" and add a new one i'm happy

i just thought there was a patch file i was missing or something, I couldnt understand why the NEW button did nothing

It's a strange one to be sure - I don't think anyone else has reported a problem when using an existing layer or page entry and pressing the 'New' button.

Welcome KBI

You have to have either the page or layer 1 title bar selected before the New option is enabled.

I have the same issue as KBI. In addition, the 'Duplicate' button doesn't do anything either.

Looking at gwpriester's and sledger's screenshots, I noticed that the Object Gallery in my setup looks different from theirs as I have the 'Move' button where they have the 'Find' button. The 'Move' button does work.

I have version 5.1.1.9166 CD.

A difference between Xtreme 5 standard and Xtreme 5 Pro.
(Though I see that the standard version shows the Help section for Xtreme Pro 5 - a bug there)
