A player made using InstantFX plays fine using FrontPage - but using a placeholder in Ex. only shows the SWF portion or player itself. Where do I upload the rest i.e. the MP3 etc., in order to get it to play in WD/Extreme?

Doesn't InstantFX use and external XML file MP3 list?
Referencing only the .swf will only load the player graphics, you need to add the embed code to your placeholder which includes the source location of the .swf, the .mp3 file and the .xml
Thanks for your help - I will check into it tomorrow

Sledger:
Assuming the questioner to be brain dead, could you elaborate
I get IFXDATA folder containing: vti.cnf - Flash Movie - XML document - MP3
I have no idea how to handle them in Ex. but keen to learn. The program is simple to use in FP. Probably the same in Ex. if you know how
Thanks in anticip.

Sledger there is also ifxmovie - an html file apart from IFXDATA folder

HI padito,
Could you zip up and attach a sample of your files for me to play with?
Sledger:
Thanks for your help - I have omitted the MP3 file as it makes it too large.
InstantFX is an Aussie program and I think you can use an evaluation to try it,
if it is any help. It has to work, but for the life of me I can't figure out how.

You are missing the IFXDATA folder which the ifxmovie.html file calls in the object params. This folder holds the MP3's and the player (Bsquare.swf) which has itself embedded information for your playlist.
From the InstantFX SE Flash Media Player Maker website:
See screen shot and attached .zip which contains a working html export and the .web file to show you how it's done.Unlike similar software products and addins, we hide the name of the external XML file containing MP3 filenames within the .swf file so its not visible in your HTML source code OR Embed the XML in the .SWF!. This stops MP3 thieves from finding your files!
Much appreciated - you are better at research than I!!
Thank you very much for your help and I should be able to figure it out with your info.
Hope I don't have to bother you again

Sledger:
Just for added info - I had reached that stage by trial & error.
It still didn't work when I Previewed Website which was the problem.
I had to export it first!! Then it worked fine.
At least your info set me on the right track - thanks again
