Default xar5.1pro: change the guide colours

Received my disk today and installed it over the download version to keep my toolbar setting which seemed to go flawlessly but I noticed that the mask shortcut on the toolbar was missing. I un-installed and re-installed and the toolbar shortcut returned. OK so far once my customised toolbars were redone.
However I now find that XaReg while allowing me to alter the usual settings > harder to dock and the colour line menu etc, it wont let me alter the colour of my guide lines.
Now this isn't the most important problem in my life right now, not having blue guide lines, but has anyone a suggestion why I can't have blue or any colour other than red guide lines?

    Hi Derek,

I received my CD and installed without problems.

I just tried using XaReg to change the guide colour and it works on the new install without problems.

The registry entries are the same as for previous versions.

Which version of windows are you using?

    I'm using XPpro SP3.
XaReg was working fine with the download version and previous supported versions. It just seems strange that there is this one thing it will not do now.
Just tried to change the guide colour for Pro4 which I still have installed and that works fine.
Back in Pro5 and nothing I do will alter the colour of the guides, I tried succesfully to change the colour of the Mask overlay and that works fine. Its interesting rather than irritating.

That is interesting that it doesn't work with Xtreme Pro 5 on your system but does with version 4.

Have you rebooted your system since installing from the XXP5 CD?

    Several times.
I have since posting removed X4 which seemed to free up Xareg to work its wonders on X5. I then reinstalled X4 to see what would happen and that’s fine too, (not that I'm ever likely to use X4 again unless I get suddenly nostalgic for the old days.) Perhaps the installation of X4 was corrupt in some way as I had a little difficulty in persuading it to remove.
I've put it down to being 'just one of those things', which seems to be an excellent explanation for so much.

Glad you have it sorted Derek.

It is curious as I always have multiple installations of Xtreme on my system along with Web Designer. XaReg always seems to find it's way around all the different versions.
