how the Texts be selected verbatim in IE6

I creat a page with WD,I draw a rect background for some texts and when I view the exported htm file in IE6 browser.
The texts that have a png background cant be selected verbatim in IE6
,but in FF3.5 it seems to be ok.
I want to make the page have better compatibility in both IE and FF browser.
Can anyone help? THX

What does it look like in IE 7 & IE 8?
I doubt anyone is using IE 6 any longer.
