You can select them and drag the corners to the size you need, unless I'm not understanding you.

    Hi Ghol,

Almost the same answer as was given. If you only want to stretch these horizontally then you need to unselect the little lock so the header/footers only stretch one way.

If you drag the corners with this still selected, the header/footers will stretch horizontally and vertically.

    Hope this helps a bit.

sorry for not being clear on this issue.

what I mean is; how to make the header and footer website to fluid on any screen resolution .

Left & right of the hearder will auto stretch to any screen resolution .

I know many will do that will CSS, but I am not sure how to do it with Xara Web Designer.

    Thank you again.

In standard format, you can't. Xara Web Designer produces a static layout .... WYSIWYG. I believe Covoxer's tweaks can help, but if you make the website dynamic, it may not look like you intended at all resolutions.

No. There's no tweaks for horizontal fluidity, only some for vertical.
But if the part of your header/footer that has to be stretched to the entire browser window is a flat color or gradient or image (but not a text), you can achieve this effect using bitmap filled page background.
If you could show the example of what it has to look like, I may be able to help.

    Dear Covoxer,

Would you be so kind to pass on to me the tweaks for vertical fluidity in xara designer.

I'm really struggling to get the vertical site layout right.

    Thanking you in advance.

Create the header and footer in a large.jpg say 1259px wide.
Export 2 jpg then open and add to website,
    Experiment...
