With regards to the color chart, that's one I picked up a few years ago. It took me a while to track down the source for you. I should have known it was one of Gary Priester's . It's from his Xara Xone Workbook #60, page 2. You can read the write up and access the link to the Gary_s_Pallete.xar file from there. It's about half way down the page. The instructions for making it one of your Xtreme templates is also included in the write up. As I said, it's been my default template for years now.
