    Question Color palette handling

This is probably a stupid question, but here it goes.

Is there a way to save just the palette in it's own file that I can add it to an existing Xara project? I am using Xara 5.

    Hey,
Just save the 'Project with the palette' as a template, and make sure under the document" >options that 'Delete unused colors' is not selected when doing so.

What a lot of us do is to create a drawing with several small rectangles filled with the named colors of the palett. Once you do that, group them together and move them to a new "Palett layer" and make it not selectable and not visable. This will insure that you have all of your named colors in your color bar at the bottom of the screen. Once you have done that, go to File>Save As Template and save it. If you want that template to be your default template, then make sure you check the box that says "use as default".

Now everytime you open a new file, your palett will be there.

This is what Scotty said with a bit more detail.
