Sledger... there's no instructions on how to use 'ExpandXar'.
When I run it I just a flash of a cmd screen, and gone.
??
thanks
Syntax:
ExpandXar <input file> <output file>
<input file> file you are trying to recover
<output file> the file name you give the result
it will not run in windows itself, you need to run it in the command prompt window
you need to give full path names, so it is easier if the program and the input file are in the same folder, and you run it from there [in the command prompt]

Nothing lasts forever...
handrawn......
My dos days have long been over....... but I'm trying so many syntax combination's and can't seem to get it to work..... what am I typing wrong?

Thanks all..... I found out what was wrong thanks to 'Web Designer'
Strange but 'Web Designer' opened up the file. And then proceeded to systematically start deleting item by item then trying in Xtreme.
I found the offending text. Don't ask me why a couple of lines of text caused the problem. There was nothing unusual about them.
And I have to say this though. I DON'T LIKE IT. This is the second time I'm dealing with this. I spent two years with Serif WebPlus and NEVER did I experience corrupt files. I think I'm gonna have continue site building with Serif.
Shame though, I really love the program... but man.... I'm just scared Sh*t that one day I'm just not gonna be able to fix something, then I'm dead in the water.
Thanks to all for the help.
Cliff
