    Hi Folks

Just a small demonstration of the power of CorelDRAW.

    This from the newsgroups

Want to create radii on shapes other than rectangles, in Corel DRAW 9 here is how.

Take a shape, any will do.

If you want to add a 5mm radius then first give the shape a 10mm outline.

Convert the outline to curves (Arrange menu or CTRL+SHIFT+Q)

Break the resulting shape apart and take the inner shape

Add a 10mm outline to this smaller shape but this time give the outline rounded corners.

convert shape to curves and break apart.

The outer spape will have the desired properties.

Note: If during the first stage the inner shape distorts due to a folding of the outline, try using the contour tool with in this case a single inner step of 5mm and separating the shape and using this hsape for the final stages (you will probably end up with more nodes but it should still work)

I've attached a small GIF file (in wireframe mode to illustrate the technique.
