    Default Inserting of java aplet

I am trying to insert a Java applet into my web page. I have already:

Drawn a rectangle in the page
Right clicked and gone to web properties
    Clicked on Placeholder
Inserted the Aplet code in the 'Replace with HTML code' box

The first code is as follows:

    <APPLET CODE="announceit.class" CODEBASE="./"

I have tried saving the .Class file in the index_htm_files folder but I still get that same result

I'm sure that it has something to do with the first line of the .txt file and were it finds the .class file.

Where am I going wrong? I would be enternally grateful if someone could help with this.

It would be hard to say from what you've supplied Artemis as the zip file only contains an html file and the class file. Perhaps you could post your web file and give us a link to what announceit.class applet is supposed to look like.
