    Default DTP styles

Can one create text styles in XXP5, like "Heading 1", "Body text", "Bulleted list", etc?

Not directly Anton. Try a search for "h1" as this has been discussed before.

Thanks Egg. I did do a search on "styles", "text styles", etc., before I posted, but the lists retuned were far too long. "h1" is returned as too short a search term, but "heading1" returned this thread -- thanks for setting me on the right path!

Would it be oversimplifying things too much to consider that a DTP-like text style is very like a named set of attributes specific to a text object and, by changing the set of attributes, all objects (text, in this case) which bear that named set would also be changed? The power of tying colours together is well known to us all -- it would seem to be a possibly useful next step to do something similar for text objects -- and, in fact, any other object type?
