Default Guides - Assign a Repeating Object property

To facilitate uniformity of the layout between multiple-pages, allow the user to right-click and/or in the Guides property dialog and assign the Repeating attribute.

This way you could assign common guides and update them for specific pages and have other guides which are unique to a page. Also, Color code or assign a different dashing or dotting pattern to distinguish the difference between them.

You can create your own unique guide layer (which can be hidden/unhidden as needed) and draw dashed lines of any colour.
'Snap to objects' on and assign a 'Repeat:name' will work as you require.

If only this still worked for xara graphics 365 - it's so time consuming having to set up the guides again each time you create a new page.

I think you have have asked this in a new thread but in case you didn't. Set up your guides the way you want them then File > Save Template. Name your template, for example GUIDES. If you want these guides for every new page then check the [ x ] Use as Default Template box.

Your custom guide layer can also contain shapes such as rectangles and even text though anything on the guide layer will appear as red dashed outlines.

Before you save your template, select the MouseOff or Layer 1 (Designer Pro X) then save.
