    I was wondering if there is any way to set the constrainment of a dragging movie clip to a specific rectangle or shape instead of using the left right top and bottom coordinates?
    any help would be greatly appreciated!

    ...of the sprite as being a way detect a collision.

    That's about the only thing I can think of. You might find more interesting information on the digests of Flasher-L.
