"Tip: It’s possible to make an object rotate a full 360° in just one frame by using the rotate command and not changing the position of the object in a subsequent frame. However, the object will only rotate about its centre. This might have some uses in certain situations."

Would someone please show an example of the correct syntax for this?

1) New Animation File
2) Draw square on frame 1> select square> name> rotate+: square

2) preview animation = non rotating square.

rotate+: square

rotate+ 360: square

rotate+: 360 square

Just name it "rotate + square", no colon required.

To rotate about a specified angle:
Do not use the [rotate] option
Simply name your object.
Copy this frame.
Rotate your object using the [angle of selection] option.

Here is an example basically using 3 frames. It shows a clock with a second as well as a minute hand (rather than a minute and hour hand).
Because the rotation is larger than 180 degrees, I had to split it up into 2 sequences (180 degrees + 90 degrees (30 seconds + 15 seconds). XX doesn't look at the number of degrees the object has moved, it looks at the quickest way of moving the last object to the position of the present object. Because of this, the movement may run anti-clockwise rather than clockwise etc.
In most of my rotation animations, I do not use the [rotate] command as it is quite limited as compared to 'manually' rotating the object.
