    Default Frame in Xara Xtreme

    Hi.
I wanted to know if there is a certain way that is easy to make nice frames and borders in Xara Xtreme.
It can be these fancy curly ones like this one:

Or a simpler one like that attached bellow.
I want to try to make these sort of frames/borders in Xara, but I don't know where to start.
    Any advice?
    Thanks!

Depends what you mean by easy!
The first frame, the outside and inside I would develope a brush, the inside would be much easier. These frames by the look of them were done using Illustrator which mkes this sort of frame easier to do as you can define the corners.
The second frame I would use the shape editor tool and use the Bevel Tool to get the 2D effect. Just take your time and experiment.
    Design is thinking made visual.

The main thing is to split your frame into repeating elements and to draw your shapes inside them:
a corner piece (shown here on black background) and two side pieces (shown here on red and green) to make the frame fit.
When you have these elements, clone them and flip them or rotate them as necessary and remove the element backgrounds. The bottom rectangle shows the final result.

Another approach would be to create a brush and apply it to a rectangle...
