Cant create small white gif

Hi
Trying to create a small round white gif with a tranparent background to be used as a menu item separator image. All I when I export the image is a small white square.
Can someone describe the steps to create a small round white gif with a transparent background

Obviously you aren't using the gif on a white background. Make sure you design it on the same colour background that it will be used on. When you export the gif (or preferably png) make sure transparent is checked.

Welcome Rick

When you export your white circle make sure the Make Background Transparent option is selected. Selected is in the down position.

In the left hand preview window you will see your white circle against a gray background.

You can see the results of not using the transparency in the right hand preview window.

Why do you need this at all?
XWD's absolute positioning html output makes spacers redundant surely?

Steve - It may be a decorative space. The round shape would indicate that.

Apparently the issue is the size of the dot. Only 7 px, its quite small. At this size the tranparency option does not work. Larger sizes do work correctly but I have not determined where the cut off size is. It may also be that not having a border is affecting it also.

For my application, a menu item separator, the image needs to be this small. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
