Default Screen goes black in Vista

Hi Please can somebody help I have loaded webstyle4 but when I go to use it the screen goes black and then comes back but the screen resolution has changed to a very poor low resolution.

    I am using vista

I have loaded the same disc and used the software previously without any problems however recently I formatted my laptop and therefore needed to re install the software.

    Hi Mercia,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

The screen changing to black and then coming back with a different resolution is Vista changing to a compatability mode not supported by the Aero theme.

When you installed Webstyle after the reformat did you tell Vista to run it in a compatability mode?

    mercia,

did you re-install your graphic card driver as before?, I don't have vista, but I'm sure there must be a way to set your display properties somehow, maybe someone will come up with a suggestion soon?

Mercia right click the Webstyle 4 desktop icon and select Properties from the popup dialog.

Check the Compatibility tab, making sure it the same as the one shown in the attached image.
