Nancy I didn't make up any words.

Yakimandu is Korean egg rolls. http://www.recipezaar.com/Yaki-Mandu...Egg-Roll-29439
The restaurant where I bought yakimandu made them in crescent shape.

Yakitori literally means fried bird but is most often fried chicken.
The restaurant in Fussa served quartered chicken, not individual pieces like KFC.

Jagerschnitzel is veal cutlet in mushroom gravy. http://www.gourmetloveaffair.com/200...schnitzel.html

Doner Kabob (or Kabab) is lamb with plain yogurt. http://forums.families.com/gyros-don...s-recipe,t2821 In Izmir Doner Kabob is served over a bed of diamond shape cuts of pita bread.

To be honest right name is Dyuner Kebap
But Im not shure that English-spoken can articulate this.....

Dyuner is very widespread here.... maybe becouse Turkey is neighbour

Pita ... its breath, hand made, kneaded from flour, water, youghurt and eggs instead of contemporary yeast and chemistry
Nothing common with industrial breath in taste.... much much much better... believe it or not you can eat and only pita without nothing more
    Its inaf delicious

    Hi Miro,

I know American English cannot correctly pronounce Dyuner Kebap. I guess that is why it is written as Doner Kabob.

True Pita is very delicious as you say. The mass produced version sold in markets here in the States just does not compare very well.

Hmm many differnt ways to spell it it seems.
Here it is Doner Kebab, and it is delicious.(Actually with the dots on the 'o')

When googling you also see dyuner kebab and dyuner kebap.

Man some even say that is is chawarma or gyro in different countries.

Is it coincidence that chawarme sounds so much like shoarma?
I don`t know, maybe we need a culinair cuisine section too
be aware, not to become a ware.

    Oooh Cheverme is very different

Its a animal, lamb or calf, slaughted, impaled on spike and roasted over glowing embers.

Must be roasted very slow... around 4-5 hours and uninterrupted have to be spuned slow and spread-ed with fat....

Its Extremely delicious, maybe one of the most delicious foods in our country
